Bank of America goes way too far in trying to trick its own customers

I Can Handle A Pitch
I think most everyone is accustomed to being pitched on the Web. Most pitches and ads are pretty easy to overlook or ignore and I really can’t fault companies for trying to make a profit. There are limits to this however, and companies should be chastised for intentionally trying to trick visitors to their sites.

Bank Of America Crosses The Line
It is clear to anyone looking at the screen grab (kudos to the ScreenGrab! Firefox plugin) that the red button is designed to influence user behavior. Moreover, this screen, or others like it, comes up consistently when I am trying to log out of my Bank of America online account. From a customer experience perspective, I find this absolutely unacceptable and fraudulent. Moreover, I get irritated and upset every time it gets served up. Bank of America now has no chance of legitimately getting me interested in their CompleteHome® "deal" with these shenanigans! The only effect is to poison their brand.
